It just so happens that by serendipity I have just installed DBW 1.71, The Phantom II, and the AH-1 Cobra mods.

First of all thanks for your work!

unfortunately i`ve encountered a problem:

When I use your addition for Vietnam maps, I get an error at mission loading:

Yup, got that load.ini error too. I simply put a minus to the PS_South_VietNam folder that came with the download.

Quick fix to remove 'hi_' and 'hi2_' in front of Clouds256.tga' in the load ini.
But if you want hi-res cirrus clouds layers, then you need to download the zip again at m4t.

I too had a mission loading error. It was cured by removing 'hi_' from in front of 'hi_Clouds256.tga' and 'hi_CloudsNoise.tga' as found below in the load.ini

[APPENDIX]

  HighCloudsNoise  = hi_CloudsNoise.tga
//  CloudsMap  = CloudMap4x4km.tga

Completed, with 50 ground kills and 2 MiG kills. Very cool, but it would be even better with some Sam's in North vietnam. Unless there werent any in 1965. Maybe I will add them myself and replay it, but it was just a suggestion :)

Mission_bug, I'm glad to hear it's going well. Carrier landings terrify me. I won't do them. Anything with a fixed uc is easy enough to land. The same for tricycle undercarriages. I could ofcourse learn how to trim. I'm too lazy though. My pal Mr Autopilot can do those landings. I just finished a mission on the Ifni map for the Spain v UK campaign. The three missions I did on the Chaco map are corrupted. So I'm doing them from scratch in DBW 1.7, not 1.6. I hope they work. I'll get a new disk soon.

Superb campaign. Very enjoyable missions, well build, and a detailed reproduction of ground details (you can see it since the first mission: airfield activity, sounds of helicopters...and after landing, you taxi to parking and there is a lot of things around you...  :P  )

Is it normal that the stinson in firest mission starts nose down and it self destroys? Am I the only one having this?

And I must be doing something wrong. AH1 and UH1 campaings also do start with the helicopter exploding .
I tried both on QMB and they seem to work

Missing loadout problem. Hard to tell which plane causes it.
If you install the mods from the links I provided than it should work ok.
Do not install Vega updates to F-100 because it prevents them from executing ground attacks (faulty FM).

Well I installed from the links of course. Also the stinson seems to fly when starting off the runwat already in the air. What can I do, any suggestions?

Empty your log.lst, start the game, run the mission then post it here please.

If you dont have log turned on got to your conf.ini and change

I've checked out the mission and you only got a few planes:
Bell47, C-47 ,T-6, L-5 and AI Huey gunship.
Planes from DBW cannot cause this error because it would have been detected a long time ago.
My only suspect is the AI Huey gunship and its loadout which is in one flight 'default' in the other flight a 'stretcher with wounded GI'. Strange error because I tested the mission again and it works fine in my install.

Not sure why the mission is working for me but not for you.
Maybe reinstall the Huey Gunship AI version.

update. I solved problem it seems. I downloaded the file and installed as indicated by your read me. But in theAI huey there is a folder with a weird hex-named file that I suppose is the payload with the xstretcher  This file is bigger than the same file, same name in the folder ai huey. I copied and replaced and all three mission seems to work, BUT HOW COULD I KNOW THIS?

Know what? You get the stretcher loadout by default if you install the AI Huey version...

Everybody will get this error who doesnt have that specific loadout which is a default option for the AI Huey.
So unless you modify that mod the campaign will work as it seems.

Sorry Canadair I just noticed that the links were changed in the first post , somes mods were put offline, so I cannot really support this campaign in the future - which is quite sad because I've spent a LOT of time planning and making it. Well, at least you and probably a couple dozen other people could play with this release ;)

Yes I was lucky and the mods are on my HD of course.. And it is really worth it now that it works..I wish there was some crosshairs in the uh1 cockpit though..

Even in some stock planes you need to press ctrl + D to manipulate the gunsight.
In some planes it activates the night dimmer in some others it opens up the cover so it was logical choice.

Other features..there arent many...IL-2 is pretty much a stick and rudder sim.
Key combos are in the control setup as in any other game.

You should use the M4T link , the AH-1 link is for the chopper that atm is on hold....

Both the UH-1 and the AH-1 were removed from this site because of copyright related reasons.
Result is that some of the missions are not playable if you didnt download the AH-1 back in the day. I hope they will resurrect that mod some day. I think that the UH-1's are still available at the free-modding site.

UH-1s are still available at free-modding, but AH-1 is gone. Do someone know who made it? Maybe it is possible to contact creator and convince him to resurrect his work again?

Try to install A7 Corsair II. I think Cobra uses same files.

Just downloaded all the files of this campaign yesterday, but haven't a change yet to install and fly with it.

Will the South_Vietnam_Fullsize Map v1.01 by checkyersix work with this mod?

Also, I couldn't download the F-100D Super Sabre by Melissa (three time corrupted data and also the download thread is quite chaotic), but I found the F-100D & F Super Sabre v1.01 by SAS, which is also based on Melissas Mod here:
Is Vietnam 1965 compatibel with the newer F-100D by SAS?

Do I need the Jet War 1.2 mod, because some aircraft need them? Or is Jet War already part of DBW?
Anyway, thanks for this outstanding mod! Good to see that the AH-1 Cobra is available again  8)

Go to the patrulla-azul@com forum and used the search for download links for these required mods:

- F-8 Crusader pack
- UH-1B + AI version Huey Helicopter (there is also a newer D modell, but don't if it will work with this mod
- Vietnam infantry & armor pack - read thethreads in the SAS forum for installation and fixing

Unfortunately this campaign is a bit outdated. Right now probably Cup JTW or BAT is the pack which can support it in 4.12.

Since a long time I've been thinking about doing a modern jet addon for my 4.12 modpack, but right now I got no free time to do it due to a RL projects. If you want to get this work easily the best way is CUP JTW, it should have all the required aircraft mods and the map, I'm not sure about the moving infantry.
