Yet another of my old campaigns have been converted to BAT. This time it's something for all us ground-pounders out there:

You are a RAF pilot, flying in a Typhoon Squadron, and given the supremely important and dangerous job of attacking German ground installations and troops. The Luftwaffe has been pushed back, but are still a major threat.
You can download it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=1315

It is a semi-historical, 9-mission static campaign, set during the early summer of 1944, portraying the fighting over Normandy before, during and after the Overlord landings. In the initial phase you will participate in the campaign against German coastal defense radars, but also go on the odd mission against "Noball" targets, i.e. V1 bases. Later you will give the troops landing in Normandy much needed ground support. All missions are based on history in some way, and follows the action of the actual day. I have also tried to follow the actual weather.
This campaign covers the war in Normandy up until June 10 and the famous so called "Dinner raid", when an entire German Panzer Corps headquarters was eliminated by Typhoons.

The map used is "Circus" by Catsy and I/JG2_Assi - it gives us the whole area from the UK down to Normandy. As the map is pretty demanding in itself on your computer, I have decided to leave out most of the action that you can't actually see (or possibly could see) from your cockpit. But there still IS a lot of going on down there on the ground, which is unavoidable as you are hunting for ground targets. (And you will always be able to find “targets of opportunity” besides the actual mission targets.)
This one can be a bit demanding at times when it comes to FPS, but hey, this is D-Day!

REQUIREMENTS: This campaign has been converted to BAT, the WAW module. If you have BAT 3.62 you have everything you need! :)

With the download comes seven skins, most of them by Texx (thanks man!), and made for the new Typhoon. More of his skins for the Typhoon can be found here:

Many thanks mate, it is always a joy to fly your missions and campaigns! 8)

This on my list! Flew the previous version and thoroughly enjoyed it, will be interesting to see how it goes in the new turbo charged BAT😀 Thanks Poltava, I have to echo cgagan, your campaigns are always a please to fly.

I think you will like it. Lots of more detail. Oh, how I loved finally get a chance to place to Horsa gliders on the ground :)
-
Did you place them on the ground as objects, or did you get them to cast off from C47 tugs? I was looking at FMB and I can see how to attache gliders to tugs, but couldn't see how to cast them off. Is it like setting a target?
-
Thanks for this Poltava, looking forward to try this one.

An Unsung Warrior Henry Talalla along with the Other Typhoon Squadons.
I salute the Legend.

No, actually only as ground objects - didn't know you could get them towed. Anyway: those landings took place during the night, so the Tiffie pilots couldn't have seen them!

Fair enough ;D Actually, I think the glider towing option only applies to the original "official" German and Russian gliders - mind you I haven't tried it.
