Hi all, Tried to run it in latest HSFX.. I shows up (sort of) before a quick mission (plane upside down in viewer, missing some parts) but won't show in game... Any tricks to make it go? I do have diff FM....

I get Mission Loader Failed - Null
would love to have this in HSFX, would post a log file but when I enable Log=1 I get a 70% crash... put it back to log=0 and everything is fine....

I heard HSFX7 has a serious bug about log=1.
So, we can't get any error log from HSFX7.
no way to research the cause of B7A.

When I select B7A as a player aircraft in QMB I also have 'Mission Loader Failed - Null'. But when I select B7A as a friendly or enemy aircraft mission loads but with results like this:

Hello all, I've tried the the new bomb numbers in the weapons RU thing and still get the "null" stuff for v 4.12.2m HSFX 70.1. and in DBW 4.10 the (Grace) fly's with out a hitch :( have you noticed of all the stuff that inside the textures folder? oh well.

That's to bad, I had hoped to get it into the game, it's the only version I run at the moment, and the one our group uses. Would of been fun to have it as an adversary.

where there is a will there is a way, I put the 10.5 buttons in the Expert mode and it works in HSFX 7.0.1

If that wouldn't be a problem, could you tell me please ten010 where did you find pictures or information of shape of working Navy Type 3 MK.1 Model 1 Gun/Bombsight ?
I saw a couple of pictures of those, and none of them is working. It was very rare gun/bombsight and so only few of them survived to this time, seems none is working. However you somehow find the pictures of working.
I have pictures of it, but no other with view on working one :

You have maybe more ? Or description how it should work ? I've heard that it was connected with gyro stabilized inclinometer, rear gunner could input certain factors and the inclinometer was connected with gunsight, automatically setting bombsight for proper release point and dive angle !
It was a very modern design, though I'm not sure if it can work like that in Il-2 ?

I love this plane. Does anyone else have an issue with the plane on scramble mission, the plane pulls to the left. No matter how hard I try it wont turn to the right.

If I right understood you, I think it is a problem with too large (maybe heavy, too) propeller set in the FM.
Same problem was (or is) with Tu-2

There is need to check the parameter.
Here is B7A1's spec from the IJN official spec seat written in 1945(I copied it at the Military Archival Library of the National Institute for Defense Studies in Tokyo).
Weight section says that empty weight(Ji jyuu)=3674kg and Take off(Seiki)=5700kg.
However, range section tell us more information.
There are three loading/range values.
It says that 5700kg/1000nmile when take off condition(Seiki), 6390kg/1640nm when loading(ka kajyuu) and 6590kg/1610nm when torpedo loading.
From range value, we can know take off condition doesn't mean 100% of fuel .
So we must predict FM's take off weight from torpedo loading weight(no information about content when loading condition).
Sorry, FM's take off value will be maximum take off value that is reference to determine the envelope of flight.

Therefore, the parameter was adjusted and released.
Possibly weight was too light. :P

I understand the acceleration problem when using high power engine.
Then why don't you adjust Reductor value?
Other high hp engine also seems adjusted by reductor.
Maybe, there is reason that weight affect maneuver more than reductor(~ affect traction by prop.) by dividing square terms(1/2[rho]sv^2c) or problem when low-mid reductor value in FM.

I want to give my belated thanks to Ten010 and team for the excellent B7A1. I have it in V12.2, and it handles a lot easier than the B6N2, which is very sensitive to rudder and aerleron input. BTW, from what I've read only the first model (B6N1) had control problems, not the B6N2.

It is my first post in this forum.
I've started recently to install and use mods , enjoying a lot the great work that you do .
B7A1 is on of my favourites planes of WWII , and i have to say that this mod is fantastic.
It works OK with me except for 1 point.
When I started to fly in QMB the 3 lines of hud message are continously occupied by a message related to ordnance i've selected to use in te mission. It use to be "BT: Default" , or "BT: 250KgJ" . The problem is that this does not allow me to see other messages , because the other ones are quickly replaced by this "BT" message. These messages dissapear when I release the bomb or torpedo.
I'm in 4.13.4m with SAS Modact 6.4.
Cheking the log it seems that this message is caused because Il2 is continously loading Ballistic Tables related to selected ordnance.
It happends to me with other few planes that i've installed ( B7A2, D4Y3 and someone else)
Do you know how i can solve it ?
I've searching on the forum but i'm not been able to find anything related to this issue.
