I did a little work on KCD, I added eye tracking.

The guys in Prague had a bad time of it just before launch when some journalists decided the game was racist as there are not any black characters in the game.

The simple fact of the matter is that in the historical period the game is set, there were very few black people around and the developers respected that.

I am strongly against positive discrimination. For me changing history because of political or social pressure is worse than splashing the N word all over the game.

It would be nice if you could cross post with the KCD website to give the guys a bit of positive feedback, they really had it hard in the last couple of months.

Hi

Sometimes when I open a MshConverter 1.18 EX converted plane in Gmax some meshes are not correctly placed.  :(
I've followed the steps posted by Mission_bug.
When I open the hier.him in MshConverter everything is placed correctly.

Is there anything to do about it?

An example as shown in Gmax:

Thanks for any help!

Cheers

In the screenshot showing the missing trees that are tied to the field boundaries, I do see a couple of randomly generated trees. And I'm sure that on other maps all the trees that are expected do appear.

So it's not a graphics or other hardware problem.

It does seem to be that the .tga files that pair with those field textures and define the locations of the field boundary treelines are missing, or incorrectly named.

As noted, the file name for such .tga textures will be the same as for the mating field texture, except for the added "_tree_" (or something like that; my memory could be doubtful and I'm not at my computer to check).

If you can open .tga images, these files are all black with little white dots that control where trees are to be drawn. If this tree texture is overlaid on top of its mating 'normal' ground texture, you would see these white dots corresponding to the areas where you should see bunches of trees.

Here's a small pack of skins for ZFLYER's Curtiss P-1.  The pack includes 4 US Navy/Marine F6C's as well as 2 Dutch (NEIAF) Hawk 1's and a Chilean P-1. Included are both HD and 1024. US Army coming soon ;)  Enjoy!

Hi, iheb1028.

In which drive, what named folder path do you install IL-2 1946 and Modact 5.30 ?

When there is a place Windows UAC function protecting (in example, C:\Program Files (x86)\ ), your true conf.ini file is redirected to Virtual Store folder and the same named file found in the installed folder is never read by the game; Your editing on the conf.ini in the installed folder makes no affects.

If so, retry to install the whole game from the first in outside place of UAC protection .... is the best way to avoid troubles.

It is working.
I wrote the code behind that logic myself and it's working for a few 1.000 other users for many years now.
You're the first who doesn't get it to work, even with two pretty simple guides at hand.
Guess who's error it is.

Cheers!
Mike

IL2- Great Battles screenshots are bitmap images with alpha layer.
You have to convert them to jpg files (using gimp or any other image editor of your choice) before uploading them, otherwise they'll look weird.

Cheers!
