Title: Dawn of Flight
Post by: SkyBlueBen on August 10, 2019, 02:03:38 AM
Sure the answers are out there but there’s so much amazing work available I’m a bit boggled (old and stupid). I really only want the WW1 add ons. Is is possible just to have the Dawn of Flight module installed and add Monty’s missions? Which files do I need and which version of IL2-1946 should I be running?

you mean the part that is in BAT?

The short answer is No, I'm afraid.
BAT is an interwoven install, sharing common files.

DBW 1916 is a stand alone WW1 module, but more "do it yourself" modding. You won''t be able to play content made for BAT DOF out of the box unless you do some serious modding work yourself.

Thank you. Thought as much. Will pick myself up the full install. Some unbelievable work has been put into that I can see.

You won't regret it.  The entire mod is truly epic, and the DOF module, even without satisfactory blipping or throttle control for the rotaries, is loads of fun.  I especially like stooging around in the prewar types and the contraptions like the Farmans that you would never get in Rise of Flight.
