Title: German engineering at its finest!
Post by: Flanker27 on September 13, 2019, 09:44:48 AM
My family have always been fans of Benz we have owned many over the past 30 years, this Gem is the most recent of the line up, its a 1997 SL500 40th anniversary edition, there were only 500 made and 250 imported to the US the color is unique to the 40th anniversary ones. this particular one has just over 88,000 miles on it and has been garage kept its whole life, both the hard and soft top are in almost perfect shape as well, all this was purchased for less then 10 grand USD

OOOOF. That's a V8 I'd like; two doors, boxxy, hard edges, my kinda car. 8)

Prices here are stupidly high for my budget - some of the 320s even are at the rates of the 8's... And with a really high mileage (186k)...

We've had quite a few ourselves:

- 1986/1987s (one of the two) 500SL V8, White color. Used to love tearing that down straights.

- 1980/1985 560 SEC AMG, absolute beast. Was a... Whatever this color is:

- 1990 G Wagon (helped a friend start it up and get it running again, needed work but we weren't really interested in it, though it could and would have been ours).

- 1998 S500, also known as the "Sheba" (old/wise man). Silver color.

- 2001 S 300 (which my uncle now owns)

AND if all goes to plan...

Another.
