I've looked through this thread and please forgive me if this is common knowledge, but is there a way to use this with the jgsme mod enabler? I've tried following the install instructions but I think because i'm using jgsme I have more than one plane.ru's and the other files that need to be modified so I've tried adding the lines to a couple of them but the plane still doesn't show up.Create a folder Mods, so there adds mods (Lancaster), adds STD. Download this program: FREE TEXT PAD, which you can use to modify files weapons.ru and planes.ru.

To install the v.2, you don't need the previous version. After you installed the v.2, download the v.2.1 patch, and install that too ^^

BM, after you download the Lancaster Patch, copy the files into your Lancaster folder and if asked, overwrite as needed. Should work then IIRC.

With what? It's supposed to be black.It's not like the one in the picture that Rawners posted, it's not blended. it goes above the wings and to the base of the cockpit. The half of the fuselage is completely black. I don't know how to fix this and would really like some help.

This is a Franken plane, not a regular plane, so there are plenty of problems and defects. Don't expect a perfect Lanc.

some buggs me at:
- LED flashes magneto nr 8
- Bottom left hole in the junction table floorstanders
- The legs of the train through the wing S / E
- Tail lights in space
- Flaps to 20 cm wings
- Automatic bunker is dropped, it opens and closes by itself
- Graphic bugg in the turrets, but they derive
- BIG problem with the viewfinder
All this may be due to the adaptation in the versions (if someone can translate
I think that the problem is that the Bombardier Cockpit code is not fully implemented and it is pointing to some 3D contents that isn't still created, that's why yu don't solve it with the cockpit of a previous version.

The UV3 soundmod has engine msh files for the Lancaster:

dietz, you might also look into Tiger´s Sound Mod folder and there into the 3do subfolder;I remember having this sound mod a while ago , but now all I do have sound mod wize is Jiver67's total sound mod in JSGME mod package.
my updated Lanc looked exactely like yours and remming out the Lancaster inside the 3do subfolder in Tigers sound mod solved the issue....
There must be a 3do\Plane\Lancaster\Engine1_D0.msh being loaded before your new 3d or otherwise you would see the correct engine details and default skins. If its not in the #_UV3 folder then it will be in a different folder inside #DBW. You should do a filesearch inside your game directory for the term "Lancaster", that way you will surely find the mod which includes engine mesh files. My other guess for the culprit would be GurnerFX because the engine mesh files were modified because they required hooks for the new, blue exhaust flame effects iirc. Your second option is to rename your new Lancaster folder to something else which would ensure that it will be loaded first.There are all the msh files mentioned , but they are all in the Rawner's original Lanc folder.This plane works fine,but as mentioned elsewhere i can't get it to convert.If I had the new folders "over" the original lanc folder I get the "horizon" fault & no plane.If I put a "-" in front of the old Lanc folder & just put the new Lanc floder in DBW I get the same thing:no plane.

you're not alone, KENZO - i have had endless difficulties getting this new 3d to work.
no problems with previous version at all, but all my attempts at trying to make the new 3d work have ended with the plane either not appearing at all, or appearing with crashed gear on the runway.
i have solved many similar issues with other planes, but this one eludes me, for whatever unknown reasons....
hopefully someone can help out with correct advice for us :D

I think you need the lancaster V.1 and the tallboy update. Just copy and replace that 3d folder in the lancaster v.1's folder with the new one from this thread.
Other people have apparently had luck with this. I'm not so fortunate, but I believe that is because I downloaded V3.1, rather than V2.
As for your second question, weapons.ru and planes.ru are in a big quote box, just above the download of the old SAS buttons (5.1.7) It's on the same page so you shouldn't have trouble finding it.

The problem is most likely an incompatible classfile.
What I need you to do is post a log.
to do this, go into your conf.ini and find log=0. change the value to 1.
After you finish the game, go to main game folder and find the log file, open and an copy and paste everything in it here so we can help.

What's your graphics settings? I believe I may have seen this once before in a beta of JetWar. It occurred when users were armed with a very high poly missile and were running in 'Excellent' as opposed to 'Perfect'
Try this and see if that resolves the issue.
Komander, change it to Perfect. Reducing it will NOT solve the issue. If it runs on Perfect but no other setting, it means the model is too high poly for the game.

O.K lets protend for a moment, you are running 412m with HSFX 7.1 (like me) and you haven't got the Lancaster in your il-2 build at all, It may be a dumb question but what is the correct sequence of downloads to get this beast running correctly....I had this aircraft running like a dream in 410, and really miss it in 412, if there is one thing HSFX and 412 Misses its a RAF heavey Bomber!.....Any help guys would be most welcome..ive tried doing a complete build using Lanc 3.1 and all I get is CTD.Had the same problem.

Yes Bombkiller, thats what ive done and like said even with installing like that, the game loads fine untill you go to QMB then eveything freezes and you have to exit the game. This failure will not even show up in your error log, so it would be pointless posting that up here. I have tried both ways of installing this with manually with the original from Ranwers and the version from derrierloisirs and as yet none have worked. If anyone on here has the Lanc running in HSFX 7.2 4.12 then please en-lighten us to how you did it...thanks in advance.. GaryHi Nightfighter,

ben_wh..you know, just when you think you know your way around this game someone comes along and shows you a new way around a problem that has you stumped. At last thanks to you ive got the Lanc back Yaaay!!!, I can live with not having a bomb aimer or tail gunner....Its just great to have it back in the game...Many thanks mate and thanks for taking the trouble to help!! ;D

You may already know this but PA_Dore has adapted a number of planes for HSFX 7, including the Lancaster:

(Use the left-hand side navigation bat to History SFX then scroll down to the Lancaster for HSFX 7).
Unfortunately, while you can fly that Lancaster HSFX 7.0.2 the bomb sight does not work. However it may be a starting point for further investigation.

Currently I have IL2:1946 4.07m updated to DBW 1.71 and the game version reads 4.101Griffon, so its your show now.
Thanks to 101tfs ...for this major DBW upgrade. #DBW-NewTFM overwrites parts of Ranwer's Lancaster.... so now we have an upgraded Lancaster 3D

Hello I have CUP installed with which has the latest version of the Lancaster. I have discovered the Lancaster is invisible at a distance between 50 and (about) 100 metres. I have searched for this problem and found reference to it but no solution. Is this just me or an on-going bug? Thanks.
