Something I have been working on when other projects weren't going well.

90 to 95 % complete. Needs FM, own Slot, Rear Gunner to work, Wpn loadout, and wiring added.

For those that want to take it for a trial "As Is" flight in DBW 1916.

Albatros C.X

Modified Albatros D.III
Original Albatros D.III by Magpie, Lisek, Loku, SAS~Anto, Phas3e, Vpmedia, Max the hitman

The Albatros C.X was a German military reconnaissance aircraft that saw service during World War I.

The C.X was essentially an enlarged development of the Albatros C.VII designed to take advantage of the new Mercedes D.IVa engine that became available in 1917. Unlike the C.VII that preceded it in service, the C.X utilised the top wing spar-mounted radiator that had first been tried on the C.V/17. Other important modernisation features included provision for oxygen for the crew and radio equipment.

Gorgeous art work there, the early fabric covered aircraft seem to have a very special look about them that is unique and quite different to the later all
metal aircraft we are more used to. 8)

The schemes are much more varied and interesting as well. ;)

The slot is done, FM made from the Albatros III, bomb hooks added. ;)


The cockpit uses that from the Albatross III renamed for the CX but it needed moving so the instruments need aligning and
all the parts need adding to make the cockpit view acceptable.

Have a working rear gunner turret, now. Thanks to Mission_bug.
A few more tweaks and it will be ready for a release version.

The CX is a very capable a/c....just had a tussle with a Pup and a Nieuport 17 with very pleasing results  8)

I only find this great looking Plane a few days ago.
I had trouble with the down-loads but this last time did the trick.

I just re-installed the BLITZ portion of BAT. Got her flying. I like how the pilot's gun has an unobstructed view. Single mission coming up.
