Dry Crimea

This has been lurking on my hard drive for some time now. I'd forgotten about it while I got on with other things. There's nothing special about this, it's merely Crimea retextured with mediterranean colours for a dryer back-country look.  You can download it here...

The Extras folder contains QMB missions. DCG users might be able to adapt the existing campaigns for this map without much trouble if they want. I didn't because I haven't a clue how to :(

For those using Desert Crimea (I believe fly_zo did that one some time ago), the file cald_d_map_F.tga included in this package is compatible and looks better than the original IMHO, but that's your choice.

Kind of looks like Spain or Tunisia.
Thanks!

Great job, Caldrail.  Having never been in this area of the world, I don't know how realistic the map's landscape is.  But, it totally changed the feel of the area.
Quicks worked well, once I added "CustomXX=CAL_Dry" to the conf.ini
Glad you uploaded it!

It doesn't represent the real Crimea at all, but instead a sort of generic mediterranean, middle eastern, or perhaps even Indian landscape if you can excuse the names.

Great Work Caldrail  8)

I like what you make in regards to map

Can't forget the funnest map around Zimbotho.

The Indian idea is interesting especially with Rawners work on the Tempest.

Indian/ Pakastani war anyone?

A job well done Caldrail ;D

Cheers Kirby
