Dear members, friends and guests of SAS!

It is my sad duty to inform you about the death of Curt Cabbage aka Gubi.
Gubi had some serious health issues lately, his death didn't come as a surprise, but that doesn't make it less painful.

Gubi has been a long term SAS member as well as being a member of the "Chuffolites" aka "Chuffies", an IL-2 online squad.
When the Chuffies' activity was decreasing, Gubi brought back life into online flying by joining the Chuffies and quite a couple for guys from SAS (me included) to form the "Flying Ass Clowns" aka FAC.
The FAC are still active on our "official" SAS gameserver and we will keep that legacy of Gubi alive for as long as we can.

Rest in peace Gubi.
Your companionship has enriched my life.

Damn, this breaks my heart, I had really hoped to have talked to him again since I got back into IL2, seems like I’ve missed a lot of old friends in my absence… I had some amazing times with him, bravo and Bomber killer in the early days of the FAC.
Rest in peace Gubi, you will be missed. But at least you’re out of pain. Say hi to BK and bravo for me.

Rest in peace Gubi, wherever you are.
He was an exceptional Comrade, had the pleasure to flight test some of his fresh Maps when he was active.
He had a sort of idea and historical follow up, that was ass kicking at times.
It was a pleasure to have him around, even not flying, he took care of us.
His personality was calming, he even had his own slang, I can't tell, his reckless humour.
I spit a few Coffees unforeseen.
Can't forget the day he had duty in the swamps, servicing pumps and joking about
Aligators. Like it was Yesterday.
