Skinl with new planes
« on: August 25, 2023, 11:20:23 AM »

Hello
With many new planes, it is no longer possible to spot a point on a skin, most of the time it ends up outside. It seems that we have the X axis, but not that of the Y axis.
Does anyone have a solution, because it is very difficult to find the multiple small parts of the mapping, thanks in advance.

En gros, quand tu pointes un endroit sur la 3D des nouveaux avions(photo 1)tu te retrouves en dehors de la skin (photo2)

Didn't knew Sknil.exe had that option, blimey, and I searched my Ass off all the Time.
Must try next time.
Thanks for the Reminder

Did you try using the Aviaskins's MeshDump utility instead of SkinL?
I think this would solve your problem.

Yeah, Meshdump, an excellent Program I run directly from the Sknil folder, but at Meshdump I fail to understand why it sometimes loads
a Texture and when not.

Sometimes I have to use Stainless Mod Tool, if it comes to Guns Hooks alligning.

Ok with mesh-dump we can see the skin on the 3D of the model, after having transformed the skin bmp into skin1o.tgb.
But that does not allow to locate a particular point of the plane on the skin as allowed by SkinL.
See examples:

with many new planes
