If your Virus Scanner goes ballistic: Turn it off or add an exception for these files. There's nothing we can do about it: The files are safe (period), yet certain antivirus programs can't keep themselves from throwing false positives.

Please also check for the latest Patch which can always be found in the following post!

Short installation instruction:
  • Download all parts of the installer ((the number of parts depends on the Option you choose, Option 1 has 9 parts, Option 2 has 15, Option 3 has 31)
  • Run the installer ("Ultrapack 3.4 Cassie <Option Description>.part1.exe") and let it do it's job.
Note that there's no mandatory thing to activate in JSGME after installation - you can activate further mods if you have some, but Ultrapack 3.4 itself has no JSGME option.

Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Hints, Tipps & Tricks
« Reply #1 on: September 23, 2021, 11:03:23 AM »

If - for whatever reason - you've managed to f**k up your Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Installation, you can always give the "factory reset" script a try:
Right in the Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" game folder there's a file "up3.4_factory_reset.cmd" which, when you run it, should reset your game to factory fresh conditions.

In case you have happened to "update" your IL-2 1946 game to Team Daidalos' "official" version 4.14 or later, here is what you can do:
  • Scrap it.
    Don't ever update beyond 4.12.2.
    Seriously, don't do it.
All that TD tried to do is fuck up anything the modding community ever did.
In case of 4.14, they went as far as to remove/trim/corrupt existing core game archives.

If you still think you want to keep 4.14+ as a base for Ultrapack 3.4, here's your second option:

  • Download this set of SFS archives which got intentionally broken in the 4.14 update:
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/zr6a4v1hz56ka5g
Unzip the files to your IL-2 game folder and overwrite existing files when being asked to.
Note: TD's dreaded 4.14 version will most likely still run after you did this, but it will not pass their ill-fated "crt=2" online verification anymore.
We're not reliable if your 4.14 version doesn't work anymore, and even more so, we couldn't care less. 4.14 is the pest. Period.

Another hint:
It seems like little is known about the view settings that can be set by mission builders in their mission file.
Since the FMB doesn't know about these settings, they have to be applied to the ".mis" mission file manually (using a simple Text Editor) after saving the mission.
The settings have to be stored in the [Mods] section of the .mis file (add it if there isn't any yet). The available settings are:
  • ExternalViewLevel. Possible values: -1 ... 2
    -1 : No External Views.
0 : External Self View enabled.
1 : External Self and Friendly View enabled.
2 : All External Views (Self, Friendly and Enemy) enabled.
    Default: -1 (No External Views)
  • ExternalViewGround. Possible values: -1 .. 1
    -1 / 0 : No External View on Ground.
1: External View on Ground enabled.
Default: -1 (No External View on Ground)
  • ExternalViewDead. Possible values: -1 .. 1
    -1 / 0 : No External View when dead.
1: External View when dead enabled.
Default: -1 (No External View when dead)
  • PadlockLevel. Possible values: -1 .. 2
    -1 / 0 : No Padlock avaiable.
    1 : Padlocking friendlies possible.
2 : Padlocking friendlies and enemies possible.
  • ExternalPadlockLevel. Possible values: -1 .. 2
-1 / 0 : No Padlock in external views avaiable.
1 : Padlocking friendlies in external views possible.
2 : Padlocking friendlies and enemies in external views possible.
  • ViewExternalSelf. Possible values: 0 / 1
0 : External Self View disabled.
1 : External Self View enabled.
Default: 0 (External Self View disabled)
  • ViewExternalOnGround. Possible values: 0 / 1
0 : External Self View while Player is on Ground disabled.
1 : External Self View while Player is on Ground enabled.
Default: 1 (External Self View while Player is on Ground enabled)
  • ViewExternalWhenDead. Possible values: 0 / 1
0 : External Self View when Player or his Plane is dead disabled.
1 : External Self View Player or his Plane is dead enabled.
Default: 1 (External Self View Player or his Plane is dead enabled)
  • ViewExternalFriendlies. Possible values: 0 / 1
0 : External Friendlies View disabled.
1 : External Friendlies View enabled.
Default: 0 (External Self View disabled)

The view enabling follows a logical "OR" scheme:
If a view is enabled by any setting - be it difficulty settings or any of the above mentioned settings - it will be available.
Only if a certain view is not enabled anywhere, anyhow, it will be disabled.

Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2
« Reply #2 on: September 04, 2022, 02:44:55 AM »

Patches, Hints & Tricks:

Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2:

This is the second patch for Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie".
For your information: Patches are cumulative and have to be installed on top of Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie".
This means whenever there's a new Patch, you can either install it on top of the old one, or just skip any old Patch and go straight from Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" to the last Patch.
Understood? Fine.

Additionally, you might want to install the latest Hotfix on top of this Patch, if available (at the time of writing this text, there is no Hotfix for Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2).

Here's Patch 2, it comes in six parts due to it's size:
Download Link (Mediafire):

Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2 Parts 1-6

Mirror (OneDrive):

Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2 Parts 1-6

Mirror (Mega):

Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2 Parts 1-6

Installation:
Download all six parts and run (double-click to start) the 1st part (the executable file) only. No need to do anything to Part 2~6, it will be applied automatically by the installer which is inside Part 1.
Install on top of a working Ultrapack 3.4 Bigfoot game, regardless which patch and/or hotfix you've installed on top of it.

ATTENTION:
Experience taught us that the variety of custom added mods to existing Ultrapack installations exceeds any imagination.
If you have modded your Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" game, make sure to backup anything you've changed inside the "#UP#" folder before applying this Patch, as the Patch may and will overwrite and/or delete files in there.

This is what gets fixed and/or added with Patch 2:

In case your game doesn't work at all or it doesn't work as it should after installing Ultrapack 3.4 Patch 2:

Folks, there's tons of mods floating around and many of you have customized their Ultrapack installation before.
It's inevitable that such customized installs can cause all kind of issues when being updated to an extent like we do with these new Ultrapack Versions.
The way to proceed in such case is this:
  • Run JSGME and disable all mods.
  • Rename the folder "#UP#" to e.g. "#UP#_Backup".
  • Create a new, empty "#UP#" folder.
  • Reinstall the latest Patch for Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie". Only the latest patch!. Nothing else. Just Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" latest Patch.

Run the game again - if it still doesn't work, you've successfully screwed up your game. You may try to reinstall Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" itself, followed by reinstalling the latest Patch to see if it works.
If the game is back running, you can compare the new (clean) "#UP#" folder with the backup one (#UP#_Backup).
The new ones contain only Ultrapack 3.4 content and the old one contains unrelated, custom stuff.
So you can pick your custom mods one by one and see yourself which one works and which one breaks your game.

Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2 Hotfix
« Reply #3 on: October 27, 2023, 08:58:23 AM »

Gentlemen, Hotfix 23 is available for Ultrapack 3.4 Cassie Patch 2.
Hotfixes are cumulative, each hotfix contains all fixes of it's predecessors so you only need to install this latest one (on top of Patch 2 that is).
Hotfixes can be installed on top of each other, so there's no need to uninstall old hotfixes. Just drop the latest one on top.

Download Link (Mediafire): Ultrapack 3.4 Cassie Patch 2 Hotfix 23

To install this hotfix, run the executable, point it at your Ultrapack 3.4 Patch 2 game folder and let the installer do it's job.

This hotfix addresses these issues encountered after release of the previous Hotfix:
  • Custom per-mission view settings from .mis file's [Mods] section fixed, kindly refer to the lower half of this post for available settings: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,67406.msg736798.html#msg736798
  • Rare case fixed where the newly implemented removal of aircraft from a group in case of lethal damage would cause AI to trigger a couple of errors in the log - as an additional safety measure, airplanes removed from a group due to damage form their own group now.
  • Very odd case of explosion effects not being able to render on land/water surface covered, corresponding nullpointer checks added

New features:
  • Bomb Loadouts added to C-47 for standing use (Egypt-Israel 1948, Football War 1969) (introduced with Hotfix 21).

Furthermore, these issues that have been addressed by previous hotfixes since the release of Patch 2 are included in this cumulative Hotfix as well:
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
