We will add detailed weather notes to the briefings later.
Meanwhile, here's the landings Skylla was referring to.
First two parts are my crippled attempt to squeeze the poor La on the runway, first external view, then my cockpit view.
Third part is Skylla showing how you do it right.

The video had no context when uploaded that I thought this was going to be posted on the IL-2 forum regarding their (can be retarded at times) AI.. :))

This is my first landing since the new weather was activated. Autumn map, stock clouds, modded icons, external view.

And this is the second one, less fortunate. Internal view. Note the fun factor at the end.

Il-2 GB is pretty well optimized for what is considered "low-end hardware" in the past 3 to 6 years. In SP games the bottleneck is the CPU (i5-6500 here) due to the resource-heavy AI. GPU-wise Il-2 GB is lighter than running the Black Death track in 1946 maxed out.

Here are my settings:

As you can see I had to tune down some of them for performance. And the video looks somewhat artificial compared to the live experience, where there's no visual gap between crisp foreground and blurry background.

Sorry about the invitation, I noticed your shoutbox message too late to join the party.

Just to show that I can actually do better than on my first landing attempt in stormy autumn weather, here's my return with a Lagg-3:
