IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Stock Static Campaign Patch (Up to 4.12m Compatible with SAS BAT 3.7.2 and Later)

What is included -> Patches to allow playability in BAT of all Static Stock campaigns:

* Only missions that required modifications are included, to save space and allow easy JSGME Mod installation
* Problematic missions in original beloved campaigns are now all compatible with BAT 3.7.2.
* Below is a list of affected campaigns:
-- Germany (Fighter: 16; 1946 Fighter: 1; 1946 Bomber: 2)
-- Japanese Navy (Fighter: 4)
-- USSR (IL-10: 3; Blinding Sun: 1; Burning Ridge: 1; Bomber: 4; Fighter: 6; Pe-2 Frontline: 3)

BACKGROUND:
Almost 20 years of modding have rendered some original content incompatible.  Thanks to the huge work at SAS (sas1946.com), in this case led by whistler, a lot of original content is now compatible with the greatest mod pack ever for IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, B.A.T.  This included missions from the past or from other versions.  One of the most appealing group of missions came from static (non-dynamic) campaigns which have been around since the original IL-2 Sturmovik from 2001.

WHY:
If you have Obsessive "Campaign" Disorder (OCD) like me, you like things tidy, and you want things to work.  Upgrades should not make things bad.  Stock should be sacred.  Well, that is just not realistic.  With enormous work like BAT, things are liable to change.  Still, whenever I got the dreaded pink plane I fell down in a fit of rage or just went into the fetal position...

WELL:
Since the release of all stock and other content (led by whistler) for single player enjoyment, taking advantage of new mission generation features, that meant all stock campaign mission content was available, so I decided to create a simple patch so I could go back to the campaigns.  Single player is good and all, but in the end of the day, the sense of accomplishment that comes from a campaign is awesome.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO IT?
No changes.  I used the content from the Community packs and packaged them as a patch to re-enable the static campaigns already present in your installations.

AND?!?!
Well, you can play them as campaigns as they were originally intended.

WARNING

INSTALLATTION:
This has only been tested with SAS BAT 3.7.2 and this is the only version I'll support.  Extract the zip file to anywhere you want.  Copy the unzipped "#UD_IL2StaticCampaignPatchForBAT" folder to the BATMODS folder.  Install MOD from JSGME.  Start BAT.  Play.  Win.

And do believe me, as an old and disordered missioneer myself, I am keeping changes to an absolute minimum. I even went back to reestablish "lost" stock loadouts in my time at the helm.

Hi Uberdemon. As instructed I have transferred the unzipped file to BAT MODS in BAT372 and activated it via the jsgme. I checked the career section but did not notice any difference in the Luftwaffe campaign list for example. Am I missing something. Can you tell me which campaigns or careers I am looking for that I didn't have before.

Nothing new, but updated missions to make the campaigns playable in BAT...

Well...most of the older mission might work but not necessarily..we have new modded 109s, new modded Zeros and the likes and these might cause troubles...older content is a hit or miss affair...if you are not sure if a mission works run it through the FMB and you will see if you receive any error reports like missing aircraft or ships or vehicles...

larschance, no problem at all.  The thing to keep in mind is that older "static" campaigns (that is the ones with pre-set content, as opposed to dynamically generated campaigns which change every time you re-start them) at times became incompatible with modded versions due to change in syntax (aircraft code name or most of the time, change in weapon loads) or code altogether (perhaps missing content or map features).  Not all static campaigns were affected, but the ones that were should be playable.  Some examples are the original (2001 IL-2 Sturmovik 1.0 release) static campaigns, which were "monstrous" in size (German Fighter campaign, which is simply called 'Fighter' in the game interface (Missions\Campaign\DE\Bf-109) Soviet Fighter campaign, which is called 'Fighter' (Missions\Campaign\RU\Lagg-3), and Soviet Bomber campaign, which is called 'Bomber' (Missions\Campaign\RU\IL-2).

The B239 campaign and German Fighter North are both dynamic campaigns.  Dynamic campaigns are generally prefixed with a * or (x).

There can be incompatibilities with dynamic campaigs in BAT as well, so I highly recommend you install the DGEN updates:  https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,61913.0.html

quick question from me: as I do not have a stock game backup available right now and do not want to install the whole monty just to get a list of stock campaigns, can someone post which campaigns were included in the stock IL2 1946?

i need just the names and countries to which they belong as I have a 4.10 and 4.11 backup with loads of campaigns in it (I was not that thorough in backing up back then to just back up stock content but threw in what I had as well...)
