Iv got a siatec X52 that is squeaking like crazy(I know you all have heard it) my question is how can I fix this? Iv got some silicon lubricant somewhere would this be the right stuff to use?

What you need is silicon grease.
I've got this one for my X52 Pro and it works perfectly:

You could use silicon oil in theory as well, but it would be hard to keep it from spreading into areas where it's not needed and where it will gather dust later on, making matters worse.

I had asked this question when talking to a Saitek rep and he recommended silicon grease. What I use is a product called Sil-Glyde. If you happen to be in the US it can be found at a NAPA auto parts store (product #765-1351) and as Storebror said, it works perfectly.

After some further investigation iv discovered that my problem is the piece of plastic on the bottom of the return spring rubbing against the base I’m going to see if I can simply cut a thin piece of felt off and put it on the  bottom of the plastic washer

Thank you for your suggestion; I followed it almost to the letter for my Thrustmaster Hotas X and it worked great! Both for the joystick and for the throttle. I didn't even imagine how their fluid functioning could positively influence the enjoyment of the simulator, distracted as I was by their creaking noises. Now both run better than a knife in butter! Thanks again for sharing it, even if the indication was not addressed to me personally, nor was it specifically about my case.
