early Vietnam F-105?
« on: July 31, 2019, 10:11:57 PM »

There are very few skins for the type.

Is any anyone interested doing a few early Vietnam F-105D skins, particularly also some bare metal ones?
I'm looking into making a Thund campaign and they could be used there.

F-105's are on my long list, I could definitely move them up sooner. Haven't checked on a template and it may be at least a couple weeks if you're in a hurry. If you had any particular units or marking in mind might save some time. And my bare metal finishes are still hit or miss but I need the practice.

Thanks for looking
Nothing specific, just Vietnam stuff... I am no expert.
I just noted that only two skins exist in total for the F-105 yet and hat seemed a bit limited....

WIP skins, I had to build a template. First pack should be out in a week or so, bare metal European nuclear strike squadrons and early Vietnam squadrons in silver lacquer. Any tips on bare metal finishes appreciated, I'm no 200th Taro...    Second skinpack will be SEA cammo.

About a year ago i've started a 4K project for a 105 template and stopped.

Please let me know if you guys want my Illustrator vector file with the lining (have part of the rivets done as well)  ;)

Hi Dan,

I appreciate the offer and would love to build upon your work, with full credit given. This model's large fuselage is mapped to a small section, and the 2048 line look like 1024, so should really be drawn in 4k. For some reason my computer, GIMP, and 4k don't seem to get along so just have been working in 2048.

Thanks and lok forward to checking it out!
