Douglas DC-2
« on: July 12, 2019, 08:44:36 AM »

The Douglas DC-2 is a 14-seat, twin-engined airliner that was produced by the American company Douglas Aircraft Corporation starting in 1934. It competed with the Boeing 247. In 1935, Douglas produced a larger version called the DC-3, which became one of the most successful aircraft in history.

This is another FSX import and full credits are in the readme.

There is also quite a few skins both military and civil for this in 1024/2048 included.

Only tested in BAT 3.6.2

Enjoy

A very interesting one ! Was in service in Asia, too, right ?

Remind me the famous story of the CNAC's DC 2 1/2 : https://cnac.org/aircraft02.htm !

Anyway, huge thank you !

This is just GREAT!  ]cheers[  Hopefully the skins I made for the other DC-3 , to make them look like
a DC-2 , will now be useful in this new model.

Many thanks !

Thanx, good job. Works in my DBW.  ...and yes "in Asia"...the Nationalist Chinese, the Dutch East Indies and the Australians operated it until '46.  Cheers and prost

this DC-2 is VERY Sturdy and made of AMERICAN STEEL!! even 40mm AA guns can't destroy her  ;D
and 20mm MG FF (Bf109E4) too

she getting 1 port wing tank leak 2 fire 3 BIG fire and then elevators separated if hit her hard (VERY HARD)
and never blows up... can burn for hours ...
many many holes YES but still flying ~~~ not bad but where's TOTAL DESTRUCTION? ;D ;D ;D 4.12.2 Modact 5.3

The stressed skin construction and aerodynamic features such as leading-edge slats of this advanced and ground breaking design had much influence on both the Bf109 & the Spitfire, I'm just reading in a book at the moment.
