Is there a way to remove input smoothing?
« on: April 21, 2019, 01:05:59 AM »

I imagine the answer to this is no, but I figure it's worth asking.

Is there are way to make the controls more 1 to 1 with the input from the stick.
IE You can't jerk the stick back and have the elevator snap up with a similar sort of speed, there is always a certain amount of smoothing applied to your inputs.

You can make matters worse by installing a messed up "update" which adds further input smoothing.
Other than that, a certain amount of smoothing is added to each plane to reflect physical limits.
Even Popeye can't make a 109 elevator flip up at Mach 0.8. It flips away soon anyway 8)

Haha, I thought that might be the case.
I just like the way you can "jerk off" the planes in the newer IL-2 games. It doesn't have much use in actual flight but it is fun to watch how the planes react in extreme circumstances.
Cheers, Mike.
