You must first download and install v3.6. Only then you download and install update v3.6.1

My FPS is greatly improved!
Now I can try to create missions that involve a lot of planes.
It seems a large number of ships is no longer a hindrance!

Just flew 3.6 with my squadron buddies and WOW.
Just WOW.
The java magic you guys did is fantastic.
I get no slowdowns in frame rate even over the biggest cities.
Fantastic job.

Dont think this is good enough to post in the screenshots thread, but boy did I mess up here.


I was working on another angle to show just how close I got when my system crashed.

The TGA file is black.  Cant open it now. 

But, just really wanted to thank all of you.

Edit I better go get some Flagon skins

Gentlemen I don't know how the hell I missed these great news, but anyway Thanks a lot to all the modders that made this release possible.
Man I have Il-2 Great battles but to be honest I don't see that thing getting as far as our old IL 2 1946 is getting (although it is prettier, but looks isn't everything).

havent tried yet. But wanted to know about the sams. In quick mission bldr, do they appear as random in a mission or they have to be scripted. Or under AAA is there a sam field.

SAMs can be placed in Full Mission Builder.
In FMB place the S75 missiles whenever you want and then place the S75 Radar control near them; in my game they work perfectly.
Regarding Strelas, just place them wherever you want and they will fire at you when you're close enough.
Remember that S75 are Radar Guided while Strela are IR guided.
