Which screen resolution
« on: April 12, 2019, 12:09:11 AM »

I am running a Core i7 8700K
Cool Master case with water cooling
Nvidia 2080 TI Founder Edition
16Gb Ram Corsair
28" monitor, Samsung with a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 @  60Hz
Corsair RGB 7.1 Dolby wireless head set
Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

I have been running all my installations at the native resolution.  All runs fine and smooth, but because pixels are so small aircraft dots are miniscule and difficult to see.  Also ship shadows appear on the water before the ships are drawn.  Miuse cursor is also tiny in the game (I can choose larger cursor sizes in Windows 10, but not in the Game).

What would be the best resolution to run the game aesthetically and playability (so I can see things better at distances?

Thanks

I would try 800*600 and than go up with the settings and try again ;-)

800 x 600 will make the gunsight reticle take up the entire screen.

Maybe I should rephrase the question.  What is the maximum/optimal wide screen rendering designed for a 4.12m or newer stock game of IL-2 1946?

My monitor is a UHD 4K monitor with a native resolution of 3840 x 2160, but as pretty as the screen looks the pixels are tiny.
