Mirarmar Naval Air Station and Generic City

Here is Miramar Naval Air Station and a generic city/port/rail/roads using the template Flight Test Center by TAM. 
Download and drop into your Missions folder, or NN Single Mission folder and do whatever you want.
You start off in a F/A-18D, load up/change whatever you want and go nuts.
This map works in BAT 3.5 with no further mods, and works fine with other 4.12 BAT Mods.
I just left it base so no one has to run around trying to get more objects.

There are still some things I want to do with connecting paths and adding lights, but if I don't post it now I know I never will.

Excellent work, thank you very much, really appreciated. 8)

I have a utility somewhere, cannot remember what it is called, allows mission files to be incorporated into the map so they become one entity, that might be a logical step forward for this. ;)

Mission bug I had been reading and trying to figure out how to do that and get the unlocked FMB working to no avail. Feel free to use this template anyway you see fit.

This is really great, I appreciate it very much! As a kid, my first job was in a warehouse next to the base in 1987, poking my head out the door at the jets every chance I had. Thanks for the runway near the city too, almost just like real life San Diego Lindbergh Field nearby!

I've been using Monte Cassino maps to resemble real life Southern California, which is the closest I could find, only missing larger urban areas. I may try to tackle moving this over somehow...

Very neat job indeed. Can see a lot of thought and tedious work went into this map. Nice to have this "state side" base. Lot's of possibilities. Thank you for your "hard" work and for your generosity. it's much appreciated.

When using this magnificent map in net/dogfight mode, I have been unable to pin a home base to the new runway next to the city. Is this at all possible ? Or am I doing something wrong ?

This is not a base like a base "integrated" on a map!

It is an "object" runway. The object runways are java-wise identical to stationary aircraft carriers (... go ask the original game designers) and you cannot set a "homebase" to an aircraft carrier.

Surprisingly enough my temp fix was to add USS Nimitz on a circular cruise round the wet bits of the map and you can fix a Home base to a moving carrier. However your answer regarding the objects is what I thought was happening, just hoped there may have been a work around. Thanks for your prompt answer.
