« on: February 18, 2019, 01:25:12 AM »

Hello SAS, I am back with another project for you all to use with your jet age aircraft.

This time, the project is the Black Sea map from here https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,14350.msg152224.html#msg152224

Just a great idea! Looking forward to it.

But I have one question: why are you not using the latest retextured, retowned and revillaged versions of the crimea and kuban maps?

Hello Wasted, I realized this after I had already started unfortunately. A long time ago I remembered seeing a combined Crimea and Kuban map, so I looked for it here and found the one from the posted link. I can try and copy paste the airfields from my current project to the re-textured version. I started the project originally on the Crimea Map, but then I remembered that the Black Sea map existed, so I proceeded to copy paste airfields onto the Black Sea Map. Unfortunately, I was only able to copy paste Khersones and Belbek, and further copy pasting would crash my FMB.

The map is coming along but progress is kind of slow. My FMB is very laggy and I get around 20 fps at ground level. In addition to this, the ever annoying activate camera WCS issue, which creates a small square in the corner of my FMB and the screen starts flashing, comes up sometimes when I finish an airfield and want to drag it into place. I always make the airfields with landscape off in the sea somewhere because it's flat. I then turn landscape on and drag to roughly the right spot.

I have finished Krymsk airbase, but the Camera WCS problem has hindered my progress of placing it in the right spot.

I will continue to post updates though, and I will look into the retextured version.
