Mosquito Missions Campaign
« on: February 13, 2019, 02:01:26 PM »

Hello All,

Here is my next submission to our community, I hope that you enjoy.  :)

Compatibility: IL2 4.12.2m SAS/Mod 5.30 or later is required (VPMod)

A semi-historical 29-mission campaign based on operations flown by the RAF De Havilland Mosquito, DH.98. Known as the 'Wooden Wonder', the De Havilland Mosquito was probably the most versatile combat aircraft that operated on all fronts in World War Two and was still giving valuable service in first-line service after 1945 when it enjoyed a limited renaissance both at home, in Germany and abroad until the advent of jet aircraft.

The U-Boat Yard at Flensburg

The RAF pilots and navigators' crew tales, takes you raid by raid on night-fighter, fighter-bomber, anti-shipping, precision bombing, and low-level ground attack operations while carrying full bomb loads or rockets or cannon and machine guns, or no armament at all.

Low level daylight attack on the Philips plant, Holland

The Mosquito served as an interim night-fighter and bomber and saw action in every theater of operations during World War II.

Night Fighting

A raid on Knaben, South Norway, the Molybdenum mine

You’ll be flying many of the famous raids of the Mosquito such as Operation Chastise, Operation Jerico, and many more. There a total of 27 RAF Operational missions as part of the campaign. There are also two bonus missions following the campaign covering the films 633 Squadron and Mosquito Squadron.

Operation Jerico

The film: Mosquito Squadron

The film: 633 Squadron

Based on the book by: Martin W. Bowman, as seen from the Allied point of view.

I tried to keep the campaign as historical as possible with correct date and time that I've been to accurately research.  Due to limitations of the flight simulation (maps) some minor deviations were required, however, these deviations do not detract from the historical value depicted in this campaign.

I hope you enjoy :)
