Has a mod ever been cooked up for the rail bridge?
« on: February 04, 2019, 01:39:33 AM »

I've looked, with no success. Might I have to address this?

It's awful to see trains intersecting and passing through the too-low girders on the stock rail bridge. It appears that the girder heights will have to be boosted by at least 2m. And in order that the comical effect of too-vertical angled side girders be avoided, it would be desirable to decrease the number of vertical stanchions.

And another desirable aspect to rectify is the collision box dimensioning. Given that girders present a *far* smaller cross section than the space between them, it would make sense to treat them as essentially not there as regards projectiles. It's maddening to have vehicles sitting among these skinny girders and thus be immune to gun and rocket fire due to the simple collision box for that part of the bridge. If not for the desire to have planes (properly) collide with these girders, it would be so simple and otherwise acceptable to just omit the girders from collision detection altogether.
