Problem to start IL2 never happened before in years
« on: February 03, 2019, 08:40:46 AM »

Hi, I copied my bat installation on my external hard disk, then I connected it to another window7 pc (like the one where i use it for months) and try to run IL2,  but it did not start and instead it give me this message.
Of course it is not installed in program files ...

Never happened before to have a message like that ... do not know what to ... it was only to see if it started on the second pc ... well, i do not have trackir on this second pc and do not have throttle etc ... maybe that the reason??

already tried to shutdown & restart the pc but always the same message ...

It's exactly what the message box says.
The account you're using to run the Selector doesn't have permission to modify il2fb.ini.
When you moved the disk from another computer to this new one, probably the file access is limited to a user that exists on the old PC only.
Best bet is to right-click on your IL-2 game folder, check the security settings, take ownership of the folder (and with it, all subfolders and files) and gives full access to "everyone".
