D3A1 gunsight

today for the first time i gave a try to D3A1 ... (hsfx and vpmodpack) but i do not understand how to use the "gunsight" ... it's always black, is there a key or a way to see through it ? like the SBD I mean ...






by the way ... the sim has the right colors, but the pictures are like "negative" ... dunno why... any tip to fix that would be appreciated
