Esc Key not Working Ingame

Hello iam very new to this all and the game but its very fun :) I only have one Problem my Esc Key is not working anymore in a Mission or in the Intro, in the Menu everything is ok but sadly not in the missions and the Intro. i hope u can help me with that. I have the GOG Version of the Game.

In your conf.ini file check the lines :
[HotKey gui]
Escape=activate

Otherwise it is possible that it is the mission/campaigns that prohibits the key!  ;)

Thank u :) but i found the issue the Language Selector of IL-2 1946 from GOG Kinda messed up the conf File. So i had to reinstall and change the lange through the conf file:  :)
