Skin is just a few images from actual photographs copied and pasted just to get a idea of what goes
where, it will need the attention of a good artist to do something decent.

Yes I agree, trouble with photographs though is that the colour can vary quite considerably
depending on what the weather and lighting was like at the time the image was captured.

I use parts of net images more to give a indication of where certain things are placed because
this helps me scale things when I have no actual scale drawing as is the case with each of the
buildings so far, hopefully once released one of our master texture artists might produce something
more appropriate. ;)

Here I had tidied up the texture for the main building block and placed the windows:

I think it looks okay so far and now that is done I can move on to mapping the other parts. :)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Glad you like things so far vonofterdingen. 8)

More of the roof is now done so it is beginning to look a little more like the photographs:

Take care.

Nice of you to say so Costas, thank you very much, really appreciated. 8)

Sadly my artistic abilities let me down so I rely much on copy paste from real images, however, I think
it will do until a decent artist can take a look. ;)

Just a little more, small building at the front:

Take care.

And just a little more. ;)

Just two towers to map now essentially, the one above the entrance and just one of the small towers
as I will just clone that to make all three.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Just marvellous !!!

Glad you like it Ivan. 8)

]nono[ ..what about black metal roof? in modern photo (am had show early) the NEW roof, non history.  All roof must looks like on the corner & central turrets, non metal. sorry.. :-[

I can add a older looking tiled roof Toobone no problem, merely a re-paint of the texture in the roof area. ;)

That would of course represent the Cathedral through the ages, however, Ivan might also require the modern roof as well for the later version of the Transcaucasia map so I would then have to provide two named versions of the Cathedral and that could make for a lot of duplicated objects, maybe a second set of textures might be in order to allow users a choice of old or new for their game. :-|

Anyway, here you go, first in game images:

Looks okay I think. :)

Take care.

I managed to remove some of the shinny areas and add my version of roof tiles. ;)

Not sure exactly the type of tiles this building would have had or the colour but it is a start.

Hopefully one day our great community texture artists might put this on their to do list.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
