I run win10 with a NVIDIA GTX 1050.
I used to play BAT under DirectX - very crisp resolution, fast display, easy and fast shifitng with alt-tab to other open windows or programs in the background - a must for easy modding.
However with the arrival of the Graphic Extender, i decided to pass to Open GL and run BAT in expert mod - BAT runs smoothly and the graphics are indeed wonderful. The game loading is a little slower, and the shifting to background programs or windows is quite slower and not really smooth - but this is not the issue.
The issue is that BAT refuses to run in widescreen format (19:6) but only in 4:3 resolutions
I am used to work and play in 1280x720 resolution 32 bit. It's the most comfortable for my eyes' vision. In Direct X no problem. in Win10 various progarms no problem. In OpenGL ....this is another story - the game refuses to run in this resolution, it loads but I get flickering then a black screen, though by bringing the mouse pointer on the task bar I can see a wiondow showing the game screen correctly. The games demand from me to run in 1024x768 32 bit - a resolution that keeps me feeling that images are deformed, "elongated" - or to degrade to 800x600 (or even 640x480) or to increase resolution to 1152/864 or 1280x960 or 1600x1200.
Can something be done to force the game to run in OpenGL in the same resolution as the windows desktop and the other programs 1280x720 in full screen? How to enable widescreen?
These are my "working" conf.ini settings (in 1024x768 not in 1280x720):
[window]
width=1024
height=768
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=1
Use3Renders=0
WideScreenFoV=1
UIColor=0
UIDetail=0
UIBackground=en
Use3RendersUI=0
(I tried SaveAspect=0 it gives me a full crash!)
