Hi all

Wanted to ask a few questions about this tool please, could I add damage layers and hitboxes just using this? If so how?

Can I alter mapping etc for ill-fitting skins, if so how, please?

What other kinds of things are possible with this tool?

regards

It wasn't designed for that but I suppose it would be possible. If you were to right click on a node. For example "tail_d0" and copy it. Then paste it as a child of the same node. Then edit the textures... maybe might work.

You can export a blank template if that helps. Somethings like this...

You can fix problems with normals, materials, matrices, things like that.

It is mainly designed to check mods without using the game, so you don't need to create missions et al just to test an aircraft.

Thanks for the reply mate. My skills are not brilliant, to be honest, so most of it probably off limits for me. I will see what I can do though.

Error when loading the CANT Z1007bis' hier.him (present when extracted from a stock 4.12.2m install's SFS files, and from Epervier's modpack)

This exact error is thrown when loading every single .msh on the plane.

I have loaded several other hier.him files without issue. What can I do to the CANT's .him to solve this?

This is normally when a mod is edited by hand and the game can handle the results, but the mod tool cannot.

It is usually something like a missing carriage return , I will see if I can grab this mod and look at it.

I have had a look at it, and the problem is the textures

The tool defaults to the summer variant and I cannot load the textures myself in any of my tools

Quick and dirty fix

delete skin1o.tga
rename skin1o.tgb to skin1o.tga

It's still uploaded, klick the Link, scoll down,
at the Bottom see IL2 Modder 2 Links,
one for the Tool and one for the source code.

Hope this helps.
