Had a working 3.3, but no joy with new 3.4
« on: October 07, 2018, 05:08:18 PM »

Pretty much says it all.I'm almost always sure I have made a mistake in install and this might be the case this time,I did a torrent download of 3.4 into a folder, unpacked the 4 parts & installer, and pressed install. When I hit the old "Selector ,nothing much happens & then the 'Selector screen appears again. I wonder if I can still salvage this whole package somehow...I'd hate to start all over again. Is there somewhere several steps back ( elimination of some of the newly installed folders ( WAW3 TJA3 etc.)where i might be able to get a running start? Could it be a corrupted download/ I feel a bit up a creek... :-[

What does BAT 3.4 Linebacker Install.log say?
What is your game location? Any possible access rights issue?
And form of game log file on startup?

unpacked the 4 parts
Why?

HOW TO INSTALL
Download all 4 zip parts + BAT Linebacker EXE
Put all of the parts + the EXE into a folder
Run the EXE

This is unrelated. No need to manually update the selector in BAT.

Storebror & the rest of the crew giving me some clue,
Initially I simply ran the EXE with the 4 zipped folders, but found I couldn't get past selector, so I next tried unzipping them & then running the EXE,and unfortunately getting the same result. I have now tried the install about 4 times wth the same resultUndoubtedly this is something on my end,not the BAT 3.4.Perhaps there is some start over point I haven't thought of ?The crew here has been a great help in the past & I was hoping for some advice that didn't mean I'd have to start over from scratch. I loved 3.3 but 3.4 looks like the living end if only I could work through or around this apparent glitch. Thanks!

Perhaps there is some start over point I haven't thought of ?
Certainly.
This is a good starting point:

And this one isn't to be scoffed at either, every line of it:
What does BAT 3.4 Linebacker Install.log say?
What is your game location? Any possible access rights issue?
Any form of game log file on startup?

dietz,

Put all 5 files below together, in a folder, and run BAT 3.4 Linebacker Install.exe

The installer will generate a log. Share the contents with us.
