I copy pasted the .ini. I’ll double check the spelling.

I have a 4.12 with the UP3 objects already in it. I’ll see if it works there and report this evening.

Here is my load.ini entry from the notepad doc loaded in package

KurilIslandsAttu KurilIslandsAttu/load.ini

Capital K for Kuril Capital I for Islands and capital A for Attu

In your load.ini I see all lower case kurillislandattu.ini

Typos do cause huge problems for any map maker or install one slightest typo in a tga name or in a load.ini or in all. ini entry major problems

just another question did you drop the two tga files of the sky directly in to your _Tex folder

Cheers,
Kirby

Added in my BAT/WAW. The map itself was sufficient. All objects seem to be already in. Could save a test mission without problem.

Will definitely go in the next BAT Update  :D

If you have  a look around in Google Earth you can see some remnants of those Japanese bases on the 2 main Kuril Islands

That whole Kuril Island chain was heavily fortified bunkers, underground tunnel systems, trenches and tank/ gun emplacements as well

Also on Attu and Shemya island in the Aleutians sometimes you have to zoom in real close to see them regarding the old USAAF airfields.

On to a Ventura/Harpoon campaign (1 month)  :D   :)

Followed by a full Aluetians map from Dutch Harbor to Attu Island for the battle of Kiska and Attu Islands

The buildings, accommodation and peer on the Kuril Islands that you see a lot of are canneries most likely bluefin tuna. No major villages or a lot of population at all on Kuril Island chain except the 2 islands just off the Japan coast Southern Kuril Islands

I didn't pay too much attention to the upper left hand corner of the Soviet peninsula thinking there wont be too much flying there.

Kirby

For Fresco 23,

Did you drop the 2 sky tgas in your main _Tex folder if they are not in the _Tex folder as stand alone tgas (not in any folder) the map wont load if they are not in _Tex folder.

Cheers
Kirby

Still trying to get you sorted :D

Stumped now over the week end anyway

Don't know much about 4.13

Others have no issues as seen above.

Will think about more so over the week end  :D

Cheers,
Kirby

For those that don't have any problems loading the map please post some pics just for others to see  :D ;)

Dear farang65, thank you for the interesting map and for your efforts during it's creation.
Unfortunately I have no texture which my log requires:
Quote
INTERNAL ERROR: Can't open file 'MAPS/_Tex/water/BA_Shallows_RockyFloor_X.tga'
It is: BA_Shallows_RockyFloor_X.tga
with placement in ...MAPS/_Tex/water folder.
May be it is the reason of installation issue not for me only?
And may be any other textures are also necessary?
So, could you please share with me named texture(s) or link for download?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Skyfan

That is a message I am more use to.  ;D

You found  a really good fault there  :-[

Definitely a sign of old age

If you install in a large pack like BAT that texture from Mark will be in it. if doing a stand alone and you don't have it you'll need it for sure.

Strange as to why Fresco's message isn't the same as yours this could be Fresco's issue but he definitely gets a general all.ini message in his 4.13 version

https://www.mediafire.com/file/oftys7td7jxqhx3/Marks+Shallows+Texture.rar

I'll post this up in the main post with your credit

Thanks again Skyfan  ;D

Definitely due to old age  8)

MAPS/_Tex/water/ BA_Shallows_RockyFloor_X.tga

That should be it  :D ;)

The main map textures folder covers all of the textures KurAttu folder except for _Tex/water/ Marks shallow tga

Cheers,
Kirby
