Libya-Italy-1911-1915
« on: August 30, 2018, 04:38:01 PM »

I've just uploaded a campaign to M4T. You begin flying a Bleriot in Libya flying a Bleriot. On the Italian Front, you are in a Farman MF11 R, then a Voisin III. You're opposed by Aviatik C2s. Don't expect 80 plane dogfights yet.

You're welcome. There are more to come. Both WWI, and 'what if' WWII.

great idea and very interesting!

however, one minor critique is about the timing of recce objectives. Sometimes they time out before it is even technically feasible to reach them. Italy001 is a good example. set at 30 minutes (default I think) but you need minimum 45 - 50 minutes to reach this point at max velocity.
Did you play-test them yourself? It appears as if you underestimated distances, particularly with the Farman MF11.

Ah is that the problem. No wonder some of them don't triger. I did test fly, but had no idea why the recon thingies sometimes didn't trigger. I did start at lower ranks. But got the usual rubbish about 'you aren't senior enough to fly this plane'. So, originally the recon objectives were about boosting points to get promotion. So, I chose plan B, and had the pilot start at the highest rank. And thus, no chance of being kicked out of one's chosen aeroplane.

Hello David

Re: Screenshots

I've got a Heavy Duty RL family situation here at the moment  o_O
However I hope it will have blown over by the weekend when I'd be happy to fly over Libya 1915 with my camera for you  8)

Cheers

Problem solved. They are working. I had just assumed they were not, as I'd deleted MS .Net to make room. However they are. I just posted a TGA campaign today with an in game screen shot.
I hope the family situation is sorted satisfactorily. Thanks for your help sending the mini-hard drive so I could copy BAT. Both copies are at Linebacker standard now.
