Is there any way to decrease the map to reflect the area of operation...i.e. Stalingrad City? Every time I go into the mission editor, I have to drag the map several times in order to get to the battle area.

No sorry Hank, maps are to be used as-is.

Using Mapbuilder Il-2 version and Gimp,
cut out the proper area of files:
Mymap_c.tga, map_T.tga, map_h.tga, map_F.tga and ed_m0X.tga,
then repopulate the selected area in order to correctify the objects coordinates.
