KC-135 is Based on Boeing B-707 100 or 300 series, I like an Ideal, it’s Perfect.
Not correct , KT.
Often confused developing story of KC-135 and Boeing 707 family.
Boeing's first jet liner prototype "Model 367-80" was designed for 5 seats (2 + 3 seats) cabin width.
KC-135 was derived from this Model 367-80 before consumer product "Boeing 707" project was begun.
Boeing decided making 707 wider for more capacity.
707 was designed 6 seats (3 + 3) cabin width with +6 inches (15 cm) bigger body from 360-80 / KC-135.
USAF uses / used more derived variants of KC-135 ..... EC-135 and C-135 / VC-135 / WC-135. They have the narrow body as same as KC-135 and 367-80.
Confusingly, USAF also operates / operated 707 based wide body variants ..... VC-137 "
Air Force One" / C-137 / E-3 "
Sentry" / E-6 / E-8.
Israel (or some other Air Force) purchased second hand civilian used B 707 and remodeled into Refuel Tanker.
They had a wide body , not equal to KC-135.
