Updating the game

I'm getting a new error message when I try to launch the game.....it says that I need to update.....how do you do this?

Run Launcher.exe instead of Il-2.exe, and it will update your game automatically before starting.

Where is launcher.exe?  I have BOS and I cannot find this anywhere.

It is in the same folder as your "Il-2.exe" file is in.  Mine is within my game folder  - sub-folder "Bin", then open "game" folder.

in my game folder there are no .exe files, but.dll. My game launcher is *IL-2.

That´s because file extensions for .exe files aren´t shown in windows explorer per default.
Go to your game folder (per default: C:/Program Files/1C Game Studios/IL-2 Stormovik Battle of Stalingrad/bin/game) and run “Launcher” by double-clicking on it.
In case your game installation is Steam based, the default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\bin
