Whitecat's Kyushu 4.0

Copy the !!00_whc_Kyushu_4.0 folder in your #SAS mods folder and enjoy!
Tested only over 4.12.2m + VPModpack

More versions will come in the future with better Japanese cities and countryside, didn't have time
for that. Cyberolas Singapore (modified) textures look nice, but they are not realistic for Japan, as
most of traditional Japanese roofs (pre-american bombings) were more black than red (and in fact
most of the Japanese traditional houses, at least in the VPModpack, are like that). If anybody wants
to take the challenge, the correct look and feel for the cities would be Higashi Chaya District, in
Kanazawa, which was one of the few cities spared from the american bombings.

Many of the countryside & cities textures are modified ones from Cyberolas, Mixx, VPMedia etc.
Thanks especially to all these fantastic map modders and in general the whole IL2 modding community.
Feel free to reuse these textures or to improve the map. I will continue working on it at some point
but a very difficult real-life project just popped up and I need to stop working on it now, hence the
release. No, it's not because the 2018 Football World Cup :)

No no, the skins of the houses (JapanHouse etc) have already correct roofs. What we would need is a version of the Cyberolas' Singapore city textures (or, rather, my darker and more greenish version of that texture, called Whc_CityX_JP) with most of roofs black instead of red (but some red) :)
I tried with 'Replace color' in Photoshop but wasn't successful. And then, we would need to populate the cities properly, maybe with Nowecat new tool, taking away all those 'Pacific houses' with green shades and Coca-cola ads, that are good for Hawai but not for Japan :)

More on this, maybe I wasn't clear :) you really need to have same (or very similar) houseroofs as the ones which appear in the texture below where you put the house. This is to minimize ugly popup effect, in the distance. Cyberolas does that very cleverly in his cities, see Singapore or Stalingrad. I also wanted to make the destroy effect in Pacific houses less black, because if you optimize the texture of the city for the houses above, or viceversa, you put the right houses in the right places of the texture, but then, if you play a mission in which the destruction 'brush' was applied in FMB, you see from far away a reddish city, but then when you get near see a bunch of very ugly black houses appear suddenly, and this is a powerful immersion killer. If there were black stuff there, you would see it from far too. I thought about making the destroyed skin less dark, or even transparent so instead of the whole black walls of the house when burned, what remains is a few ruins and rubble. But, again, this will need to wait long unless somebody takes over :)
