Hi
Today I started up il-2 after a game breaking glitch yesterday mentioned here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,58731.0.html
After loading a mission, I noticed that my plane was not reacting to anything, then I checked the controls menu, and everything was gone. Literally. Like what the literal fuq is going on with my game?
I have other copies of the game, so which file stores the controls?

Edit: Also lost my difficulty settings having everything turned off, and the comms tab is also f-d up

The controls are pilot-dependent, so your controls are in [game root]\Users\[Username]\settings.ini

I'll make a copy of that. I did set them up after pressing resetting the default settings, but I change literally everything so I'll need the file in such cases.

one thing to remember (unless it's been modded)...any time you change your pilot for a career (i.e. you create a 'new' pilot) the control settings will all be default.
IIRC the quickest way to get around re-setting everything is to copy the settings.ini file to your new pilot folder.
