Sakae,Nakajima engine sounds
« Reply #37 on: November 03, 2018, 10:02:34 PM »

These days, I feel that Sakae ,Nakajima sounds dont't reflect the modded sounds, especially ex-sounds and
flyby sounds. I tried to put them into 'my_presets,my_samples',but not reflected! Does this go to only me?

Hello there!!!!

Got back into the sim after quite a layoff. Been updating and came across your fantastic sounds. I have to ask, do I download and install 3.0 to 5.0 and overwrite as I go? Not sure as I love the jets as well as WW2 planes.

Main question is where in #WAW3 do we install this????

Cheers

Steve

Hello again, people! ^_^ Hope you're doing well.

Just popping in to rather quickly announce that the next VSM update will feature new enhancements on the aircraft engine sounds. Let's just say, it'll be more fly-by worthy. ;)

Do you have an approximate release date in mind? I'm dying to get the new one.

Thanks ever so much Victor!

Victor's Sound Mod is the one-stop for all sounds in my IL-2 installs. Clear, crisp, faithful engine sounds. Every new iteration/update/upgrade of VSM has brought IL-2 to a whole new level. Victor, I appreciate your devotion and talent. Thanks for having shared your professional audio engineering with us.

Consider consolidating your (previous, current and future) works in two downloads (Propeller/Jets) or B.A.T-ready era packs. I am not sure I got right all your upgrades for my BAT (downloads are a little confusing) and I don't want to miss a single sound update!

Looking forward to Victor's next, greatest sound mod!

Sorry for these potentially dumb questions but, will this mod and benitomuso's Cockpit mod, be in next BAT update? Or they are limited to single downloads?
I know that the Cockpit mod isn't compatible with the newest Engine Mod but, still, will it be in BAT one day?

I'm kinda of afraid of installing it by myself :-[

It says:
"Updated 2016/12/26, formal release for v4.12.2 of the Game, Jets and SAS Engine MOD v2.7.1w Compatible."

and:

"You just have to install it over the plain (no need of Pablo's Cockpit Sounds version, because now it is included here) of Western EngineMOD v2.7.1w:"

B.A.T. v.3.5 MUSKETEER uses EngineMod 2.8.11 right?

On 26th/Dec./2016, benitomuso(Pablo) released newer Cockpit sound mod.
It is compatible to simple Engine MOD 2.8.11w and Merge Effect + Engine MOD 2.8.11w .... without Full Throttle Flame.
But your hand-maid copy operation is needed in some versions, I write about it below.

Based on benitomuso(Pablo)'s Cockpit sound mod for v4.12.2 on 26th/Dec./2016.
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,48628.0.html
Need installing his package first.

-----

Without start-up / full-throttle flame visual effect branch.

+ SAS Engine MOD 2.8.11w and merging PAL's sound classfiles.
No need special download.
You have to install Pablo's mod and my Engine MOD 2.8.11w simple version (and its patch if exists).
After them, you have to copy 2x classfiles from Pablo's folder "00_PAL-CockpitSounds" into my Engine MOD folder "!SAS_Engine_Mod".
9147012A04461808 and C1175F8CD8B28230

+ JapanCat's Merge Effects and Engine MOD 2.8.11w and merging PAL's sound classfiles.
No need special download.
You have to install Pablo's mod and my "JapanCat's Merge Effects and Engine MOD 2.8.11w, but no others" version (and its patch if exists).
After them, you have to copy 2x classfiles from Pablo's folder "00_PAL-CockpitSounds" into my Engine MOD folder "!SAS_Engine_Mod_MergeEffects_20151031R".

Thanks western! Now i can ear the mask sounds as well as the heartbeat and canopy jettinson sound! :) :) :)
But, can i turn the volume up of the mask? I can barely hear it in the F-16 and F-4, while i have no problems in the F-104
Also, i can't hear the ejection seat sound, only the canopy jettinson.
