Help with TSmokeTrail problem in BAT
« on: February 13, 2018, 08:56:03 PM »

Hope I am posting this where I should...if not, apologies...
The following data appears in my logfile for both installations of BAT patched to current stage.

TSmokeTrail::TSmokeTrail() Estimated number of particles 101 was clamped to (1 .. 64)
[7:43:59 AM]   WARNING: TSmokeTrail::TSmokeTrail() Estimated number of particles 101 was clamped to (1 .. 64)
[7:44:01 AM]   fps:33

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this?

Thank you.

Don't you worry about that ...  ;)

Le log just tells you the number of particles composing TSmokeTrail is around 101, which is above the game limitation, so the game just clamped it down to 64 max ... ;)

You could of course "fix" this yourself, but that would mean finding the TSmokeTrail eff file, and edit the number of particles line with a text editor, but I suppose effects are in SFS format in BAT, so it would mean extracting the relevant SFS (which one by the way ...?), edit the proper file and rezip the file in SFS format, so forget about it ...  8)

Other than that, you can also find the TSmokeTrail eff file in some effects mod, edit it if need be, and put it in your "mods" folder (or whatever it is called in BAT) in the proper way and path ... ;)

Thank you Mick! I will search it out and fix if I can.
