After some testing, it appears that Zuti classes work all together. If there's one missing, game crashes. So if we want multi-crew working in 4.12, we need to import the complete Zuti.

TBH: I have no clue how either of those works.
But if I had to guess, then I'd say that Zuti did exactly that.

You can still look through Zuti's code and try to find out what he did to make the crew system work (just the crew system!) and use this as "manual" to build your own version of it without the rest of MDS. In fact that's how I would start.

The issue is that he doesn't know about Java coding. Maybe western or someone else could help ?

OK, we may have a track: when he imports Zuti classes from UP 3 into 4.12.2 + SAS ModAct 5.30, the game reads them but he gets a CTD  with a log error. Here's the log :

We may not know much about Java coding, but at least we're trying to get a result. And of course there are a lot of errors, he imported Zuti's classes from UP3 directly into a 4.12.2 + SAS ModAct 5.30. So it's normal that files are missing

Spitty, take no offense or anything to what we're saying, at least what I am.

I used to be in your boat, hell I still am. I don't know dick about Java modding but I'm getting there thanks to Mike and Skylla, as well as others here, they may not have the most comforting or gentle way with words, but if you show them dedication, you may get help back, depending on how realistic your goals and work is with the modding. :)

AFAIK Zuti's mod is a massive project to overhaul, where many have tried and given up and abandoned hope. It's hard and a lot of work, can be done but no one can be arsed to do it and would rather remake it from scratch and improve upon it.

Sadly, will is not all that counts. Even if you have all the tools, you cannot build a fancy skyscraper if you don't know how to use those tools .. and on top, you don't even know how skyscrapers must be constructed in order to not collapse.

Are you aware of the dimensions at all? Let's get this straight once and for all:
The fact that no one picked up this task yet is not because we Modders wouldn't care for it .. but simply because Zuti's code is massive and on top deeply woven into and dependant onto the base classes of the game, which btw got changed a lot themselves inbetween v4.10 and v4.12 ...

And even if you knew Java and had the time to pick up this enormous task, then there's still one barrier left: IL-2's net replication. If not done correctly, your ported Mod will be one big bug. Period.
