FAA Carrier based campaigns
« on: October 30, 2017, 09:00:02 PM »

Hey all

Silly question time...

I've not found anything via google, or via searching here so I guess what I'm looking for doesn't exist.

However I'll ask anyway.

Apart from the recent DCG campaigns by Shakaali (many thanks to him for those) and the stock DCG campaigns (most of which don't seem to use the right maps), are there any FAA campaigns (that work in BAT) knocking around where you start each mission on board a RN carrier, preferably one's that aren't set in '45 over Japan, I'm thinking perhaps set in the Med, maybe during the Siege of Malta, or later with lend lease Hellcats and Corsairs or Seafires or Sea Huricanes?

Thanks in advance.

There's nothing specifically for BAT but do you know this site?

Hey, Raven Morpheus.

I've been planning to do a Mediterranean campaign for DCG and BAT. Including FAA carriers  ;)

May take some time, though, as I'm quite busy IRL.

Hello Raven Morpheus !

Check this one : It has been designed for CUP and should work in BAT but you've got to try !  :P

http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=2308

Set of 3 semi-historical campaigns flying Martlets, Seahurricannes and Fulmars for Fleet Air Arms in 1942 during Operation PEDESTAL. Designed to work with CUP - WAW20

In August 1942, the siege of Malta had reached its culminate point.Bombed, besieged and starved by 2 years of continuous fighting, the island is lacking of every vital item : Food, ammunition, planes and fuel...

Despite the previous operations to reinforce the garrison (Harpoon and Vigourous), the ferrying of spitfires in most dangerous waters, the transformation of submarines pressed as discreet freighters - "Magic Carpet" - and the adventurous sailings of the fast mine layer HMS Welshman, the island is about to crumble...Admiralty has decided to defy once again the axis forces by sending a new large convoy protected this time by the biggest escort ever seen.\n\nFor 14 merchants ships, including the vital Ohio tanker, two battleships, three aircraft carriers, seven cruisers, 32 destroyers and seven submarines will try to repulse U-Boots, Supermarina battle fleet, Luftwaffe bombers of Fliegerkorps II and X and the dreaded "Aerosilurante " SM-79 torpedo bombers...

In these semi-historical campaigns, you are a Fleet Air Arm pilot flying the differents types of planes used during this operations : Martlets, SeaHurricane and Fulmars

Hope it work ! Have fun !

Cheers,

Poussin

I tried those, they don't work for me under BAT which is what I've got installed.  Probably should have mentioned that in the OP.  Plus I'm more after Dynamic campaigns than scripted ones.

Great.  Looking forward to it.

@POUSSIN1 - thanks for pointing me to that.  Oddly I searched M4T last night using the term Fleet Air Arm and that one didn't come up.  I'll give that campaign set a go.

on M4T you must always be creative with search terms and try multiple possibilities and look in the right sections, stock campaigns & modded are seperate and need to be searched separately.

Yes indeed. I once spent half an hour searching for one of my own uploads  :-X
