Its great news asheshouse! Skua its one of the last planes we still missing in IL-2. I really need it for Norway 1940 campaign.
Two question about your work:
- what you do with the cockpit? Probably, use one of old cockpits, SBD for example?
- is there working squadron codes and individual plane markings on this plane?

First release will likely have a stand in cockpit and rear gunner position.
Stand in will be from another RAF/RN aircraft so at least the main instrument arrangement will look correct.
Don't know how to make working squadron codes yet, but when I learn how they will be added.

Its next layer (flat object) on fuselage which have exactly square shape. For each part of code is need each square. Too for nose art section. This object have one sided material and assign there texture of markings which you prefer.
If you want, I can send you any "template" model for look how do it. But its need have 3dsmax.

I take it you mean overlays, if so this is excellent for 3ds Max users:

Because I use gmax the first page of the thread is what I used, however, following the above helped considerably as well. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Still in progress. Collision boxes and hooks virtually complete. Little bit of work still to do on weapon systems.
Little bits of texture mapping to sort out. Cockpit internals (for external view) probably next task.
Cowl flaps are now animated along with the minor struts on the undercarriage. Small details.
Been getting a lot of help from CWatson to get this far. Thanks Charles.
