Power, propeller and mixture controls
« on: October 05, 2017, 04:19:18 AM »

Hi guys, in these days I have to finish my engine control consolle with power, propeller and mixture levers. I tried to play them setting "complex engine management" but I am not very able to manage the engine with propeller and mixture.

I saw that propeller and mixture setting are in percentage but I don't understand how I must to use them.

Is there anyone who use propeller and mixture controls? Could you help me please?

Many thanks! Ciao!!

as i understand the ingame settings Markino, 100% is either full pitch with the prop, and 100% is rich mixture for the fuel [ie more petrol to the air mixture], you need full prop pitch for take off and climb, then reduce it for cruise. Fuel full rich for take off and then reduce again for cruise, reducing both keeps the engines from over heating.

Hi guys, thanks for you replies. I will read the tomoose link for proper instructions. But where can I found how setting engine controls for the Bf. 109, for instance. In a  quick read of some link by tomoose, says that I can found instructions for each IL2 aircrafts on the AdvancedPDFmanual on disk 2 of Il2. Is this thrue for B.A.T.'s airplanes also?

Ciao!

Jerry kites are all automatic as regards mix/pitch; on the 109 I just set radiator to 'closed/auto'.
