I've just checked all versions back from 1.0 to 1.5 and they've all had the same F-86K cockpit.
What exactly are you talking about?

  It was in VERY early version of the Starfighter (not the Frankenmod based on L-39).
This same cockpit was displayed. I wish i'd kept all the older/prev versions :(

so IS THERE a way to change the cockpit to this - or another one - ??

I think the way to go would be to use the alternative cockpit (can be found in the "-F104" cockpit folder included in this mod) and remove the throttle lever and gauges to be found for the 2nd engine.
The cockpit is an F-5 pit, that's why the 2 engines, but removing stuff should be easier than adding something.
That cockpit IMHO comes much closer than what's to be seen in your screenshot (which rather looks like some heavily modded A-4 Skyhawk pit to me).

ah...that may be it ! i KNEW it was much different than f-86/genereic (looked like the one  i posted)...but that mamkes sense.

Hi Gio & Vega !

    A question for you gents - IS it possible to get the 'other' cockpit that you had for this F-104 Starfighter (when it was earlier version) to be back as the default one?
Its currently the same 'F-86 Sabre' one (same as F-100, F-8, A-7, etc..). THe other one was quite good and much more like the authentic Starfighter one.

This picture is from mb 339's cockpit.

I prefer the F 86's One with the center working radar.

I'm referring to BAT version, that has a problem with nose wheel: it works in opposite way respect to the rudder. So if you want to go right, you have to turn the rudder on the opposite side and vice versa.
