I believe, there have been experiments or research, at least. And, at least, one simple mod should reflect it.
I don't think that's the case with many of the options you've chosen here, and many of the options already in-game. The nazis were fanatical about super weapons and future designs. They put everything down on paper at some point. There were written recommendations for German citizens to have sex in graveyards to increase the aryan potential in their unborn children. Hitler was quite insane. There was also much occult involved in their fanaticism. Just because they wrote down an idea to put a Mk103 in a Bf109 doesn't mean it ever could have, would have, or should have been done.
If it's only on paper you need to take it as brain storming. If it makes it to actual development, that's a step in the right direction. However many things "in development" blew up or were nonfunctional. If they actually got to testing that was 1 step better, but often here we go back to blowing up or causing catastrophic damage when fired (WGr21 tube in the nose of a Me410, recoil-less large diameter guns on the belly of Do217s, etc). There are many reasons NOT to include these paper designs. It gets more into the fantasy world that Hitler lived in rather than the real world. Too dungeons and dragons for my tastes.
I'm all for a what-if, if the option is plausible or semi-realistic. The ground-attack 190D for example. You can see I'm not against what-ifs totally... I just dislike the what-ifs that are proven inaccurate or were tested and rejected. To me a what-if is about the potential of what could have happened had the war continued, rather than something that didn't work so it was axed. I mention this only so you can see where I'm coming from on the subject.
Actually, it can be separated. Leave just BF109_tailplane folder in mod install, that's it.
Sweet!
