Hallo vonOben !
If you wish , please send me your last update of this map.
I can make a few town and villages with houses, roads and trains in style of Poland from II WW.
Perhaps we can finished this update.
I have talking with Ivan abouts his maps and I think he has nothing against this work.
Regards

Hi Darky

Sorry for the late reply!  :-[
I'm still working on it, you can continue when I consider it ok for my campaign which should be soon hopefully.

I'll post some screen shots with the latest changes when I get time.

Do you have any idea how long your upgrade might take?

Best regards

Hi vonOben
I´m just working with new version of EastBalt( 100% retowned and revillaged with all object - Wolfsschanze inclusive )
I try to make the same like you with Map of Poland 1939
Code: [Select]
-Remove or move interfering objects. Sometimes there was 4 interfering objects on top of each other.
-Remove or move trees from railroads, streets and roads.
-Improve the objects placement, so they match the terrain textures better.
-Add objects to some smaller towns that have no objects at all.
-Improve road connections and road layout.
-Improve rail connections and road layout.

The map is 90% completed.
In 2 weeks I can start the work with map üf Poland 1939
At first I will try to make a few middle towns - Its will be 1 week I think...
In few day I will send you the EastBalt to check..
Best regards
Darek

PS Why are you interested in the map of Poland ?

Hi Darek

Ok, sounds good!  ;)

Please let me know when you need the Poland_1939 files!
I'm nearly done with the update after 1 1/2 years of work!

I wanted to make a Poland 1939 campaign and during the campaign work I noticed that some improvement could be made to the map. I've also added some more Polish airfields to make the campaign more historically accurate and improved some of the German airfields.

Are you making new Towns and villages or/and are you replacing the houses with new 3D models?

Best regards

Hi Darek

I have 111 and 112 Eskadra Mysliwska in my campaign based at Zielonka the first days of the war before they relocate to Zaborów.  ;)

Please send me a PM with your email address when you need the files.
I'm still doing last minute improvements to the map!

And I pass on the same question to you:
PS Why are you interested in the map of Poland?

Best regards

Hi

Some screen shots showing the improved airfields in Poland 1939:

I've found that the airfields on the Silesia map
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,43434.0.html
were very well researched and layed out as shown in the book "Fliegerhorste und Einsatzhäfen der Luftwaffe 1935-1945".

I hope there are no objections to use the Silesia airfields also on Poland 1939 map, credit goes to: I/JG27_Seppel

Breslau-Schöngarten

Brieg

Neudorf

Swidnik from Poland 1944 map with some minor adjustments to get a 1939 version.

Other new airfields on Poland 1939 map:
Balice
Kierz
Kraczewice
Markowo
Podlodow
Poniatow
Radawiec Duzy

They are simple airstrips used by the Polish airforce in the September war and the layout are a generic one re-used from other airstrips on Poland 1939 map.

Cheers

Hi

I've been taking a break from the Poland 1939 map and campaign work since April, doing some 3d modding instead for a change.

But neither the map update or the campaign is canceled and I'm confident to be able to release both in the next few years.  :)

Best regards

Great looking map. I specially like the airfields.
Take your time VonOben.

I also enjoy your 3D-modeling work very much. Have fun with it.
Your last fixes on the classic Albatross WW1 Fighters were superb!
Thank you !

Any possibility that the vonOben files can be combined with vpmedia's newly textured Poland_1939 map?

Hopefully, since I spent countless hours on this update.

I'll check it out when I'm done with the WWI planes I'm currently working on.

Thanks for your interest!  :)

Is there a chance for a better map of Poland on the 80th anniversary of the September 1939 campaign?
