Would there be any reason besides my ineptitude at AI commands, that the AI would not use their rockets? In simple mission testing, the AI will gladly use bombs, but not use rockets. Rocket only loadouts, or after bombs are dropped, will keep the AI happily flying straight along, copying orders to attack but not do anything.

In comparison, the regular F7F-3 tigercat with the same loadout and mission parameters will attack using rockets, even vocally saying so over the radio 'attacking with rockets'.

I pretty sure I'm ok with AI orders, and setting up simple missions with GA waypoints, targets, and even the C&C GA object for testing. Tried FMB and QMB. Doesn't matter if it's my wingman or seperate flights. I'm using the BAT install with this in my #WAW folder, I didn't know if it would conflict with the one now included with BAT(Yes, clean install of exp09 and original F7F-3N v.1mod deleted). It's pretty clean, I promise.

I'll gladly post a logfile, and other info, but it doesn't seem like anything is 'broken', but I don't know any better.
Sifting through threads about AI ground attack, mentions were made of the aircraft being coded as a fighter, fighter bomber, etc., and might affect behavior, so I was wondering if it might be something like that.

Apologies if this has nothing to do with the aircraft and everything to do with me. I'll keep testing and learning, or just make do.

thanks for reporting this, ecf111.

The reason for this behaviour is that I forgot to add a few code snippets ..
I updated the DL package; please re-download and install v1.1 once again, then everything should work as expected.

Sorry for that :-X

Is anyone else having issues with the tailhook not engaging the wires on a carrier landing? There is nothing in the logs that looks out of place when I use this mod.

Many thanks

I can confirm.
The reason for this is a misplaced hook in the mesh "Hook1_D001.msh":
Code: [Select]
[...]
[Hooks]
_ClipAGear <BASE>

[HookLoc]
0 1 0.008726 -1.000000 0 0 0 -0.008726 1 -0.0  -0.0001 -0.0057
//                                        ^ This -0.0 is the culprit  .. should be something around -1.0 ~ -1.3
[...]
Unfortunately this is very hard to fix for me, as I can only edit the mesh with notepad :-|

Well on the bright side, the real aircraft didn't get carrier qual'd until the -4n version.

Can I request the updated(loadouts) aircraft be added to the BAT install here, or should I do that in one of the BAT threads?

Is there any reason you can think of why I get a 20% CTD installing this in a BAT modded game?I have tried it in both #WAW & #WAW2 folders .In #WAW it simply doesn't show up & the CTD happens quckly if place in #WAW2.Removing its folders & its lines in STD and sim runs smoothly again Perhaps i should  first try the SAS F-7-F version?Perhaps it should go in TJA? This isn't a big deal, still I'd like to take a turn at "flying" this beautiful bird..
