Nice target you've built there Eugene.
Didn't they have something with wings?

hi all :D
while i've been away from the pc for some time, i have been able to do a bit more kit- building.
pics will be put up soonish, meanwhile i'm looking at buying a ship kit for my collection, and currently am sitting with 2 on top of my wishlist.
i can only afford one.
so, looking for some assistance in choosing here. which of these two kits do you think i should go for?

1st - Tamiya 1/350 Mogami aircraft carrier cruiser:

or, 2nd - Italeri 1/35 Vosper MTB:

the choice is hard, as i am really keen on the interesting Japanese cruiser, yet a little scared of all the tiny parts, lol
the 1/35 MTB will be better suited for dioramas, as i have many 1/35 scale kits and figures.
so, i'll open the floor to suggestions. let's see what you guys might like to see.
i do plan to do a video build, life's terms and conditions permitting... :D

ps - in the earlier chat in this thread, we were discussing the lack of 1/35 aircraft kits.
I see HobbyBoss has released a nice 1/35 Fieseler Storch meanwhile. ;)

That Tamiya 1/350 Mogami aircraft carrier cruiser looks interesting.
OUCH!!!
I just checked the prices for both of those, 1 hundred US dollars plus, depending where you buy.

Good job on the  PzKpfw II
Did you build the SAS Pink Panther?

The lack of same scale planes and ground vehicles used to irritate me but there have been a lot of 1/48th scale  armor and trucks and other stuff released recently.
(only 1/48th for me, 72nd too small and 32nd too big.)

Whichever one you pick good luck and keep us posted, OK?

cheers mate
OUCH, indeed. look at the exchange rate to south africa and pity me.
i offer 'only one life' as my excuse.... :D
i've partly done the Pink Panther, painted most parts on the sprues, but still a ways to go.
i got side-tracked by some 2 wheelers, a Suzuki Katana and just recently, a Ducati 916.
also busy doing some scratch restoration work on an old Revell 1/48 Huey Hog atm.
will post some pics soon.
good weekend, all :)
