Thank you to all the modders, and to Epervier for the 4.09 fixes !  :)

Works good in 4.09m, except two little things: the antenna wire in cockpit view (partially
visible) and the flash of the belly gunner's arm in high position.

Here the 4.09 logs if needed:

THX, guys!
So, we have all serial built japaniese bomber now? :o Ok, ki-30/32/36 missing 8)
But we have franken Ki-30, and 36 an scout attacker. ;D
Little question-added waist guns(7.7mm) are problematic, due to using Ki-21 based classfiles. (Ki-21 also have optional side guns, one in cockpit side, one in after fuselage). So, need countless Java magic, i think.

Ki-32 'Mary" franken? While the hard work of a franken is appreciated perhaps one day even the Ki-30 'Ann' and Ki-32 'Mary' will be done each as non franken. ;) Wonderful that IL-2 keeps growing the WW2 list. What a sim. 8)
Salute to all those involved, wonderful work on the beautiful Ki-49 Donryu 'Helen' and P1Y1 Ginga. Thank you. :)

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to hear from all you guys if I'm going crazy or not... but isn't the 20mm cannon currently in the wrong position on the aircraft? Those familiar with the Ki-49 will know that historically all Ki-49's had a 20mm cannon in the top turret. The 3d of this aircraft also beautifully modeled the 20mm Ho-1 cannon in the correct place. However, firing the gun in the top turret (of the initial release version 2016_10_08), I was immediately aware that this is not a 20mm, but a 7.7mm machine gun. Not only does it sound like a 7.7mm, but it also does not have the punch of a 20mm... not even close. Move to the bottom gunner however and you will find that the bottom gunner is a 20mm, when it should be a machine gun. Can anyone else confirm that the 20mm is in the wrong position, or should I get a straitjacket and padded room?     :D

Thanks all!

PS. I even made a little "mod" to test that the top gunner is in fact a 7.7mm and not a 20mm. Those that can't identify the guns by their default sound might want to try this out. This mod will temporarily change the 7.7mm gun sound to a lock tone sound... The lock tone might be little difficult to hear in the wind, but you should notice it has replaced the stock 7.7mm sound. If you can't hear anything over the wind noise, testing with the aircraft parked and engines off will also make it easier to hear. This will ONLY change the 7.7mm sound. It will NOT change the 20mm sound. Cycle through the Ki-49's guns and fire them... the one that stays unchanged is the 20mm cannon. All with a lock tone will be 7.7mm guns. Please make sure this mod loads before all others to avoid a conflict in the test results. Remember to remove this "mod" again after testing to restore your previous 7.7mm sounds.

Download the small test here:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/dyzbfmqj5d4i846/Identify_7.7mm_MG_by_lock_tone_sound.zip

Thanks guys... Please tell me I don't need to get that straitjacket!  ;D

If you are a Rebel try the small fix (post #18)!
The code is 409.
No guarantee for the Imperialists!

Merci Epevier!  :)

I usually fly either 4.09 or 4.10 + DBW, but I have been testing the Ki-49 only in 4.12.2 + MA5.3 (while we wait for the multi version of the aircraft).

I will download and try your fix in my 4.09 install.

Thanks again and best regards,  :)

Epervier, you are a Genius!  :)

Your fix worked in all versions I have installed... 4.09 + UP2.01, 4.10 + DBW 1.71 and also 4.12.2.

Now the top gunner has some sting!  ;D

Thanks again and best regards,

Trent
